Parents will be given a wealth of drug information and will learn tips for recognizing use and abuse in adolescents. The program includes information about alcohol, marijuana, huffing, prescription medications, heroin, cocaine methamphetamine, mushrooms and LSD just to name a few. Street Smart is a collaborative effort between DARE and the special investigations unit, which is the sheriff's office undercover narcotics branch. The goal of Street Smart is to provide current and up-to-date narcotics information on trends, terminology, paraphernalia and physiological effects to those who are involved with today's youth on a daily basis.
