Laura Stack, Johnny's Ambassadors: The Dangerous Truth About Today's Marijuana

  • Upper Arlington High School - PAC 1625 Zollinger Road Upper Arlington, OH, 43221 United States (map)

For 18+ years of age.

The Stand Project welcomes Laura Stack - professional speaker, author, and founder of Johnny's Ambassadors. Laura’s 19-year-old son, Johnny, died by suicide on November 20, 2019, after becoming psychotic from dabbing high-THC marijuana concentrates.

After presenting to the full student body at Upper Arlington High School during the school day*, Laura will devote an evening program to parents and adults in the community. She will weave her personal story throughout a FACT-based - not FEAR-based - science presentation about marijuana: truths vs myths, how drastically the substance has changed in recent years, and the many dangers that today's high-THC marijuana products pose - especially to young developing brains and bodies.

*One UAHS student program will be recorded for presentation to UA middle school students at a later date.

The Stand Project is incredibly grateful to the Lynn and Bob Ness Fund of the Upper Arlington Community Foundation, the Upper Arlington Rotary Club, and Upper Arlington High School for making these events possible.
